To develop EHSI, we have gathered a unique team of advisors and specialists with extensive experience in aviation generally, helicopter air ambulance and related medical issues specifically. 

Ole Ronald Aronsen

Founder

The founder of EHSI, Ole R. Aronsen, has more than 50 years experience with helicopter operations, 25 of them in Ghana. Aronsen was a central part of the founding team of the successful Norwegian Air Ambulance (NLA) and is the founder of European Helicopter Center (EHC NORWAY), which has trained some 800 helicopter pilots for Norwegian and international operations. Since then, Ole has gained valuable experience in all aspects of helicopter operations, including operations in remote areas, managing helicopter companies and pilot training facilities. In addition, Ole has more than 25 years of experience from flight operations in Ghana, and is currently based in Accra, giving him unique insight about the local challenges and opportunities.

Henrik Røe

CEO

Henrik is an economist from Pacific Lutheran University and Harvard with extended experience as a corporate banking professional with projects and portfolio management, working capital analysis and management as well as financial modeling as part of his core competencies. He has close to 15 years of experience in finance from DNB, SEB, Norsk Hydro and as an entrepreneur/founder. Henrik has broad international experience as a Senior Strategist and Advisor.

Bjørnar Daae

CFO

Bjornar has held different leading and managerial positions since 1989, mainly within the areas of finance and logistics. Highly experienced in strategy work, budget processes, personnel management, change management and optimization of operations and logistic. For the past few years he has run his own business, advising in particular the SME market on issues of finance, management, logistics and operational optimization.

Board of Advisors

EHSI has an extended team of advisors to secure expert level knowledge and proficiency in core areas such as flight operations, medical operations and offshore. The board has a combination of Norwegian and Ghanaian expertise and is in regular dialogue with EHSI regarding progress and developments.

Cpt. Harald S. Nordby

Advisor flight/SAR

• Norwegian helicopter pilot with 35 years professional experience. Testpilot and search and rescue flight instructor.
  
• Experience from offshore, EMS, SAR and longline/sling load operations.
  

Dr. Alfred Doku

Advisor Medical

• Cardiologist and lecturer at the University of Ghana and the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
  
• Vice President of the Ghana Association of Cardiologists.
  
• Training in internal medicine and cardiology from Ghana and Germany
